The Kerikeri Squash Club is seeking the remaining funding for the rebuild of it's community facility after a fire destroyed the courts.
Northland
We are seeking funding to replace the Kerikeri community squash facility that was destroyed in a fire in 2016. The facility had been operating in Kerikeri since the 1970's with two courts, when a fire destroyed the building beyond repair. The club has always had a strong committee, diverse membership and an affiliation with Squash NZ , and we want to bring squash back to the Mid North.
The club has worked with the Far North District Council to secure a new site that will allow for growth and unite with other sporting codes. The proposed new facility allows for four courts and will be built at the Kerikeri Sports Complex, alongside the Kerikeri Rugby and Netball Clubs. The Kerikeri Squash Club has secured insurance proceeds to go towards the project and is seeking the remaining funding to complete the build.
Funds will go to the Kerikeri Squash Club for the purpose of providing a facility for the community for years to come. We have a funding target but it's not all or nothing, the court fit out could be staged as funding is secured. Every dollar counts!
