Keytruda Cancer Treatment for my mum

Hi Everyone, My name is Candice and I have started this page to help in the financial aid to getting an Immunotherapy Cancer Treatment with a drug ‘Keytruda’

My mother Kathleen Cassidy was recently, end of last year (around Xmas time) diagnosed with a type of lung cancer called non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), it is stage 4 and the tumors present with high levels of “PD-L1” these tumors are in her spine now and liver and as bleak as that sounds she is the perfect candidate for starting Immunotherapy Treatment using the drug 'Keytruda' which has high success rates and in lots of cases can completely cure this form of cancer.

She is a fighter and she is positive but her diagnosis but the cancer is really trying to do its worse!!!!

Sadly though this is not a Pharmac funded drug treatment for her type of cancer even though lots of Oncologists have publicly argued its benefits and requested that it is. Their pleas have been partially heard however and it is now funded for Melanoma but again not for her type of cancer which is also as mentioned a perfect candidate for treatment with this drug therapy. These specialists and other patients are calling it "A miracle drug"

Cost for a Immunotherapy treatment is very costly almost $14,000 for every treatment - about $8000 for the Keytruda, about $2000 for another unfunded chemotherapy drug and about $3000 for administering the drugs.

We are not giving up hope, even if our hopes are relying on the generosity of others... not while there is still some fight in my mum.
