Reaching out to friends/family/communities all over the world to support our family at this difficult time.
Auckland
Baby Khyran is the 5th child of five kids born in November 2014 with Cerebral Palsy. A few days after his 2nd birthday on November 3rd 2016 he was admitted to starship hospital for seizures and a virus called Adenovirus.
Whilst in the capable and caring hands of Starships PICU unit our family was given very sad news that our little boy wouldn't make it due to the extensive spread of the virus and seizures which caused further damage to his brain.
Doctors had advised both parents of Khyran to setup an 'End of Life plan with the Palliative Care Team which has now labelled his sickness terminal. This plan consists mainly of family/whanau/organisation support and keeping him comfortable with medication, controlled drugs, oxygen and nasal/oral suction.
My brother and his partner has been by Khyran's bedside 24/7 since he was admitted. They have been under immense stress, frustration, sadness and carry heavy hearts.
After spending four weeks in Starship hospital my brother and his family was able to take their baby boy home on Thursday 8th December 2016. There he still receives the same treatment as he did at Starship and his 'End of Life' plan is in full effect.
Donations will go towards the needs of Khyran and family also his funeral expenses when he passes.
We will be forever grateful for any support and thoughts you may offer.
Kind Regards
Khyran & Family
