Kim's Way Night Refuge Celebrates One Year of Supporting Our Community – Now We Need Your Help.
Kims Way Night Refuge - Supporting those experiencing extreme homelessness

Last month, we celebrated a significant milestone: the first year anniversary of Kim's Way Night
Refuge. Over the past 12 months, we have provided a safe place, support, and hope to some
of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Today, we are reaching out to ask for your support.
Kim's Way Night Refuge receives no government funding and operates in an increasingly
challenging grants and sponsorship environment. While we have funding applications
currently with several organisations, decision dates have been delayed, leaving us facing an
immediate funding gap.
On average, Kim's Way Night Refuge supports 10 people each night who would otherwise be
sleeping rough. Our service provides not only shelter, but also dignity, connection, and
pathways to longer-term support.
It costs approximately $15,000 each month to keep our doors open and continue providing
this vital service. Without additional community support, maintaining our current level of
assistance will become increasingly difficult.
We are asking our community to stand with us. Every contribution, no matter the size, will
help ensure that people experiencing homelessness have a safe place to stay and access to
the support they need.

Te Awhina Community Hub is the overarching charity implementing Masterton's only homeless night refuge Kims Way. A place of compassion, dignity and empowerment. A space that embraces inclusivity, based around respect and support without judgement.
