Kinga Masztalerz needs your help to represent NZ in Red Bull X-Alps 2021, the toughest adventure race on the planet!
Auckland
The Red Bull X-Alps is touted as the 'toughest adventure race in the world'.
Competitors from around the globe arrive in Austria for a gruelling test of the body and mind. From Salzburg, they make their way through the heart of the Alps on a 1200 km journey across five countries, travelling only by foot and paraglider. Often covering distances of 100km per day, sometimes more, athletes must combine skill and strategy, while overcoming injury and fatigue. Many will accept defeat and drop out before the end, but a select few will stop at nothing to reach the finish line.
Kinga Masztalerz is one of the elite athletes selected to participate in this gruelling event, where she'll be proudly representing New Zealand. Just qualifying for selection is an achievement in itself, as it's a rarity that women are participating and Kinga is the first woman in the 20-year history of the Red Bull X-Alps to qualify twice.
Having put in an impressive, gutsy effort in the 2019 edition, Kinga has proven that she has the attitude, skills, and experience to make it to the end!
However, competing in the Red Bull X-Alps is an expensive undertaking, especially for an athlete based in NZ. Kinga and her supporters must be fully self-sufficient during the race and a huge amount of preparation and training is needed beforehand, all of which costs money!
Unfortunately, there are no big prizes to be won, with athletes competing mainly for pride and the experience of pushing themselves to the limit. If you're able to help Kinga to achieve her dream of competing in Red Bull X-Alps 2021 that would be much appreciated!

Kinga Masztalerz is a member of the Auckland Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club. Her selection for the X-Alps is very special, so the Club wishes to raise funds to support her participation and help promote the sport of paragliding in NZ.
All money raised will help pay for Kinga and her team's transport, food, and other necessities to compete in the event.
If X-Alps 2021 is postponed due to Covid then all money raised will be held in trust for Kinga to compete on the rescheduled date.
Thank you for your support and kind words! I so need to come to Turkey for some flying, see you in the sky!
