Kiti has secured partial fees scholarship to study at Kelston Boys High School in Auckland. We need to raise the funds for all other fees.

Auckland

This is Kitione Nasau. He is 16 years old and lives in Nadi, Fiji, with his mother, stepfather, two sisters and grandmother. Kitione is a bright student and a gifted athlete and sportsman. He has represented Nadi at national competitions in rugby, athletics and swimming. His dream is to one day play rugby professionally — hopefully for the Olympic gold medalist Fijian sevens rugby team.

Although Kiti is doing very well in his studies, the high school that he currently attends in Nadi does not have a strong rugby team. To add to that, a few weeks ago his stepdad was sent to Syria as a UN peacekeeper. He will be commissioned there for at least a year. His mother, Lusia, would like to send Kiti to study at a school where he can continue to do well in his academic work but also be given an opportunity to excel in his rugby aspirations. She is especially keen, given that his stepfather has been commissioned overseas, for Kiti to be surrounded by positive male role models

The family have worked hard to save for Kiti’s education and they have been fortunate enough to secure a partial fees scholarship to study at Kelston Boys High School in Auckland. Kelston Boys is renowned for its outstanding rugby programme — many All Blacks have studied there. Even with their savings and this partial fee scholarship, they need to raise further funds for Kiti to be able to attend.

We are hoping to raise at least $25,000 NZD for Kiti’s first year at the school. If he does well and secures a place in one of the top school teams he will be eligible for a full scholarship that covers all his fees and living costs for the remainder of his studies.

Kiti would be grateful for any amount of money that you could give toward supporting his dream.
