Tragedy Child Welfare Family Support

This is a community initiated response to a tragic event. Money isn't going to change that this horrific event has occurred, but when something like this happens, it helps to not have to worry about anything else.

We aim to raise a minimum of $5,000 to directly support this family which will be gifted in a combination of Cash, Petrol and Grocery Vouchers (the family isn't very well off ).

Any additional funds raised will be either placed in a Trust to support the boy's future rehabilitation which is not covered by ACC, donated to a charity of the family's choice which has supported them, or a combination of these two options.

Our group has obtained permission from the family to create this Givealittle page, and we now ask for Kiwis to unite in offering support to this family.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We hope u one day will rise above this tragedy ??”

“Sweet boy, we have thought of you so much this past week. Sending love and strength to you and your family.”
“Hi, I hope this dear boy recovers as much as he is able, I have been following the story of this horrific incident this should never have to happen to any child. Love, Prayers, Wishes and Aroha to this boy, God and all of us are with you in those darkest moments and our deepest trials. Find within the tragedy not resignation, but the strength to be Stronger and Better than yesterday. Arohaanui,.”
“Although there is a weird sense of how on earth can this minuscule token gesture help or be of any comfort? It appears rational people have worked out that it can. I only wish i could donate more. I have no faith and am generally sceptical of all things faith and superstition. But what I do believe is with guidance love and plenty of nurturing, this young lad will push through this in time. As a father I see kiwi lads having plenty of solid spirit and resilience. Im sorry to this young boy that there are these people in our world, and without doubt, soon there will be one less when justice is served. Stay strong young man”
“Send love to this brave little Boy and his family. What happened to you was horrific and it's non of yours fault. Pray that you heal and be loved and able to love in the world with little darkness....love you”
