Auckland

We are ready to take the next step: building a public library in Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga.

This new library will serve thousands of students, teachers, families, and visitors. Located at the Royal Palace estates, it will be surrounded by schools, cafés, and tourism hubs — making it a vibrant center for education and culture.

💰 Our Funding Goal

To bring this vision to life, we need to raise TP$2 million+. These funds will cover:

Construction of the library building

Furniture, bookshelves, and technology resources

Community spaces for workshops, performances, and cultural exchange

Accessibility features to ensure everyone can benefit

🌏 Our Vision for the Future

This library will be more than a building — it will be a living hub of knowledge and culture. It will:

Provide free access to books and digital resources

Support students and teachers with research materials

Celebrate Pacific arts, language, and heritage

Welcome tourists and visitors to learn about Tonga’s rich history

🙌 How You Can Help

Your donation, big or small, will bring us closer to this dream. Together, we can create a space that empowers future generations, honors our ancestors, and strengthens Tonga’s place in the world of knowledge.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
