Kora's Courageous Journey: Help a Young Girl and Her whanau through this ongoing medical battle

On Sat 17/12/22 while on holiday in Dunedin with her Nana 10yo Kora wasn't feeling well, she was suffering from a sore head, sleeping longer than usual & her sister kept going to wake her up but she could not get up & had only weak responses, shortly after this Kora vomited & collapsed, her Nana & Aunty had to carry her to the room.

Following this she suffered 2 seizures which prompted them to immediately call an ambulance. In the ambulance Kora became unconscious, at the hospital an MRI was completed which discovered significant bleeding on the brain Kora had unfortunately suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Unknowingly she had developed small clusters of abnormal blood vessels which had developed since birth & had burst, no major changes or significant impact had caused this to occur.

Her condition was so critical & sensitive the only option was emergency surgery to drain the fluid & blood from her brain.

The surgery was successful enough to stabilise her & get her to Auckland Starship hospital where she was placed on critical life support, she currently has two drains on her brain as they unfortunately are unable still now to stop the bleeding. Mum (Ashley) siblings & family are taking each day as it comes & are hoping for the best & safest outcome for Kora.
