Lailanie's lovely mum Remy has now passed away. Thank-you to all of you who have been there for Lailanie. I will post another update once the family has had time to process, grieve and be together in love and remembrance.
Thank-you to all who have donated so far. Lailanie has arrived in the Philippines and is helping to comfort and care for her mum who is over the moon to see her. Unfortunately, due to the public health system and the Easter holiday, Remy cannot be seen for treatment options until April 27 which has come as a shock. Lailanie has purchased enough pain relief medication for Remy to last until that date. Each tablet costs approx NZ$2.20. Remy is also asking to see relatives who live in the provinces so Lailanie is organising a rental car to do that this week while her mum is still able. We are hoping to have more of an idea about the cost of treatment after her appointment on April 27.
