The health of the people of Lamap will greatly benefit from improved facilites.

This is my 5th year working as a volunteer at Lamap Mini Hospital on Malekula Island, VANUATU.
I am living here most of this year.
The mini hospital has a nurse practioner, and nurse and 3 nurse aides.
I am the resident Midwife.
The condition of the hospital is shocking.
Broken beds
Ripped sheets
Mouldy pillows
no running water for washing hands
Lights suboptimal in maternity needing to use torches for deliveries.
Walls filthy needing painted.
I would like to set up a fund to spend money on improving this hospital for these people.
They deserve better.
The government budget does not allow for these updates.
A new solar lighting system with a fan in maternity is my first priority.
