111KM run around a 400 metre running track in Police body armour.
Papakura, Auckland
My name is Scott, and I am a Police Officer working in the Counties Manukau South area.
When we need help, we phone 111. This 111 km run is my way of answering that call.
On Saturday 21 February 2026, I will be running 111 km around the Papakura running track while wearing Police body armour and plates. This run is to raise funds for both Blood Cancer NZ (Previously known as the Leukaemia Foundation) and Brad Maxwell Senior, who is currently in an ongoing battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Supporters are more than welcome to come along, offer encouragement, or even join for a few laps.
All funds raised will be split 50/50 between both causes.
Brad is a retired Merchant Navy Seaman who served on four ships and has spent much of his life giving back to others. He has raised thousands of dollars for charities including the Cancer Society, Brain Injury New Zealand, and Mencap UK. As a civilian first responder, Brad has also selflessly assisted at car accidents, cardiac events, and sudden deaths, often arriving before emergency services.
Brad Maxwell Sr is the father of one of my Police colleagues and a close friend, Brad Maxwell Jr.
Blood Cancer NZ has provided vital support to the Maxwell family, as they have for thousands of others, most notably by organising a life-saving stem cell donation from a selfless individual in the United States.
Any donation, no matter the size, is enormously appreciated by myself, Brad, his family, and Blood Cancer NZ.
Brad Maxwell Senior is the father of a good friend and colleague in the New Zealand Police
Funds will be split equally between Blood Cancer NZ and the account of Brad Maxwell Sr to assist with his ongoing Leukemia battle, including unfunded treatment and living costs.

Hello Everybody
The job is done.
Yesterday was absolutely incredible and I am truly so grateful to everybody that has supported this little idea of mine. Whether it was sharing our social media stuff or donating or turning up yesterday and clocking up a few laps with us, thankyou for everything.
