A fundraising Page to support Laura Aisher and her family with her brain cancer battle
Greenhithe, Auckland
I’m Laura — a wife and mum to three beautiful children, all under 10.
In December 2025, my world changed when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple-negative breast cancer. I immediately began treatment - Six months of chemotherapy followed by a mastectomy and then radiation. It was tough, but everything was looking positive. We truly believed we were on the road to recovery.
Then after finishing radiation in September 2026, I noticed strange feelings in my body. I knew something wasn’t right.
The news we received was devastating. My breast cancer had spread to my brain.
My medical team has told me that it is incurable.
I started radiation immediately and will then begin chemo again. From here, we know the road ahead will be difficult, and there will be decisions that we never imagined we would have to face.
Right now, our focus is on treatment, our family, making memories and surrounding ourselves with the friends who have become family. We are cherishing every moment because we now know just how quickly life can change.
My medical team aren’t in the business of hope or miracles. But I am.
Some of the treatments can cost $150,000 alone, with others potentially costing even more. These are numbers that are almost impossible to comprehend.
I will fight - to watch my babies grow up
To grow old with the love of my life - I’m not ready to leave them
We will take every opportunity we can to give me the best chance of more time.
Because every day is a gift, and right now, more time is all I want.
