Lawn Bowls - "Give it a Go".

The Beerescourt Bowling Club is situated in Hamilton and has been in existence for seventy years. The club is open from September through to April for outdoor lawn bowls. Because we have grass greens we are closed for the winter period. It has been agreed by the club members that we raise funds for an artificial green to replace our number one green.

Over the summer period we cater for over twelve hundred people using our facilities for playing bowls with 14 tournaments and players coming from all over the Waikato District to participate, community groups, disabled children and we have been approached to run tournaments for the blind and their directors this season coming. It is hoped that this summer we will also be running school tournaments. We have many other groups using the pavilion facilities. Once being able to play all year-round membership will increase as has been proved throughout New Zealand. Coaching is available for all new bowlers who would like to try out this sport. We are a donee organization approved by the Charitable Trust and Inland Revenue Department.
