Let Cyrus PLAY Basketball

My son Cyrus may come across as very shy and a little bit awkward (he is being assessed for ADD and is high functioning ASD) but once he picked up a basketball less than 2 years ago he has shown huge potential and after making the U13's Auckland Rep Prem team this year I knew it was the right path.

He has represented his school in tournaments, he plays club Basketball , he attends Training Camps and Talent Accelerator Programmes and he trains himself daily. He is committed to the sport and achieving great things in the sport.

He goes from strength to strength and has now been invited to join the Ngamotu Hoop Club and attend the Eltham Dandedong Junior Basketball Tournament in Melbourne in January 2019.

What is even cooler for me his Mum is watching him make friends and cope with what usually would be a socially difficult situation and enjoying himself. He is obsessed with the sport and it brings us such joy to see him smiling and laughing and having fun being a kid doing what he loves with people who love it too.

I try my best to give him every opportunity he needs to keep this amazing talent going but this time I need your help.

I am a single Mother to 4 children my eldest is 15 and she was born with a cleft lip & palate.

My youngest 2 are also diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum so as you can imagine it's full on in our house and I try my best to get work when I can (I am a special needs carer) but my kids needs will always come first so the cost for him to travel as well as is a huge expense but something I don't want him to miss out on.
