Let's get Linda upright again !
A Fundraiser to support Linda and her Family to purchase a life-improving, if not a life-saving Standing Frame.
Mairangi Bay, Auckland
Linda is profoundly disabled and unable to talk and has been since birth. She is now in her mid-40's and last year suffered the loss of her much-needed Standing Frame when it was wrecked in the Cyclone Gabrielle Floods. This has had a serious effect on her physical health and mental state and reports from her physiotherapist state that this will decline further if she does not get upright soon.
Linda lives in a home with 24-hour caregivers funded by MSD, but the state will not fund a replacement frame. The frame required is a Jenx Supine Stander - https://medifab.com/au/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Jenx-Supine-Stander-Flyer-202204.pdf . As this frame costs in the region of $16,000 we have decided to fundraise to get Linda back Upright! We are working together with Rotary and the North Shore Housing Trust but need some additional assistance from the wonderful people of New Zealand.

I am a fellow trustee and friend of the beneficiary's father and a long standing Rotarian and am assisting the family to raise the funds. Funds will be released to Linda's father James.

To everyone who committed to helping us raise the funds to buy Linda a new Standing Frame, we are eternally grateful for the approx $8,600 you have donated.
We have reached our goal of $16,000 through the generous support you have given us via this Give-a-Little page and to some major donors that saw this appeal and have contributed the other $8,000.
