Give Rick some joy
Hastings, Hawke's Bay
Hi everyone,
A really longtime mate Rick kirikiri(Rick Nijssen)
Has if you don't know an incurable disease motor neurone,
Rick and I caught up after I finished work tonight,
It's with sadness to say he is certainly home bound and basically wheelchair bound,
Rick's body is failing each day and it's with sadness he is unable to get out and go to the places he loved like the beach ,the skate bowls etc to even just watch people surf and skate.
I would like to think people could dig deep and donate as much as they can or even as little as you can afford as I hope we can get Rick into a specialized disability van do he can enjoy some of his days on this planet seeing the places he loved.
We will be grateful for all the support so please tell your friends and family and work mates.
Much aroha for my mate Rick
Rick and I have been great mates for 23 years since meeting at st John's college in 1990.
A mobility van for him to be driven around in.
RIP RIKI 5 February 2023
Hi everyone,
With great sadness Riki passed away Friday, January 27th.
Thank you everyone for your generous support to our mate in his final chapter of his life.
He will be very sadly missed by all.
Riki was unable to purchase the mobility van so his kids and family, on Rik's wishes, will be putting the money into his grandkids education etc which is a great thing.
Thank you very much
Regards
Hayden and Riki's family
