Help us save our loving mum

A month ago she was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma in her right pelvic cavity. She underwent a long surgery and after recovery she had a CT scan revealing that the tumor seems to be localized so far, without having spread further at this point and there is a good chance for recovery, if the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments will start as soon as possible.

Our mum is the strongest and most caring person I know, she always knows how to inspire and help others. She is very open minded, loves travelling and meeting people. Before her illness she worked as an event organizer.

Our mum raised me and my brother as a single mum and gave us all of her unconditional love, knowledge and support, which we are grateful for every day. Now it’s our turn to help her and do everything we can so she could overcome this dreadful illness.

We have extremely limited time for collection of the required funds. The cost estimate for the 5 weeks treatment is around $33,000 NZD.

She has already been to numerous doctor appointments, tests and hospital stays which have exhausted our savings already. My mother’s health insurance doesn't cover the surgeries and treatments of these types, unfortunately. In addition to this, mum is looked after by my brother, who is unable to work while he is in hospital with her 24/7.

Our mum is only 54 years old, there is so much life to live, love to give.
