Let's help get Erina to Auckland for the NZ Hockey Masters and represent the South Island
We want to support our special friend Erina to travel to Auckland to participate in the NZ Hockey Masters in November. So deserved!

I am super excited and privileged to have been selected to represent the ‘South’ in the New Zealand Hockey Masters tournament from the 17th to the 20th November 2022 in North Harbour, Auckland. All costs associated with the tournament including travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the individual player which is really challenging for me as a single Mum! There are only two women selected from Tasman, so we are pretty much on our own funding-wise.
A bit about me: I have had significant health issues in the last few years with an auto-immune disease; by working hard to improve my health, I have been able to return to playing hockey again this year, which has given me a new lease on life! The physical activity has aided me to relieve the pain and stress that comes with my auto-immune disease with that release of endorphins. I love being able to participate in the sport I love again, it keeps me fit mentally and physically, it’s given me a sense of empowerment and helped me rebuild my confidence and respect for myself and I also enjoy the comradery that has come with being part of a team too.
Now that I am back playing hockey, I don’t want to stop and I want to be part of every opportunity available to me. Participating in this tournament means I am available for selection for the Trans-Tasman Hockey Masters too, if I play well enough!
Any help that assists me on my journey is so appreciated!

Use of funds
My goal is to raise $3000.00 to get to Auckland. That includes costs of travel to and from Nelson, 4 days accommodation and rental transport plus paying for the uniform (which will be over $150.00 in itself).
