Let’s help him out

Paul was diagnosed with epilepsy 8 years ago, he has had every test to work out why.

Unfortunately, all these have come back ‘normal’, he had good control until two years ago.

He started sleepwalking and the Grand mals were coming weekly as were the partial seizures, his specialist upped his medication and he was confident he had juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME), unfortunately, that wasn’t effective. The seizure control still wasn’t great.

Paul had another seizure two weeks ago, between his GP and another specialist they have had to induce more medication.

These have come with a cost.

He’s done a lot for the fishing community, teaching people how to fish, game fishing setups, fixing peoples reels or donating his time to help others.

Paul has never been the one to ask for help, he's the typical Kiwi bloke.

Paul is a father of two kids, 11 years and 9-month-old, he can't be left alone with them for the fear of having a seizure. As you can imagine this has taken a huge toll on his older child, he hates his dad having these.
