Time to 'give back' to Geo and Anna Koteka.
International
You would be hard pressed to find someone in Rarotonga who doesn’t know ‘Geo & Anna Koteka’. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to them both 20 years ago and since then, they have become a significant part of my life. Anna is one of my dearest friends and is the Godmother to my youngest son, Zeke.
In all the years that I’ve known Geo and Anna, what has struck me the most about them, is how incredibly generous, compassionate and caring they are. Those who know them will agree that they are such selfless individuals - always giving to others and putting others first. Geo would give you the shirt off his back as well as the fish from today’s catch!
Geo took an unfortunate turn a few weeks ago when he collapsed at home in Rarotonga. Various medical tests were undertaken which unfortunately provided no diagnosis, so Geo was urgently referred to New Zealand. On arrival at Auckland Hospital last week, further tests were conducted and the results confirmed that Geo has suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. He is currently in the High Dependency Unit and is receiving the best medical treatment that he needs at this time. The Doctors have advised Geo and Anna that Geo’s recovery is going to take some time and that Geo needs to remain in Auckland until such time that he is well enough to return home.
I am setting this page up to help Geo, Anna & the family. Geo will be unable to work indefinitely so all donations raised through this page will go towards helping them through this very difficult time.
I am very blessed to have crossed paths with two loving, caring people and would like to rally support from family and friends in their time of need. It’s our turn to ‘give back’ to them, so let’s come together and reciprocate love and kindness.
