  • Next step rehabilitation!

    Nikita's time in the ICU has finally come to an end and she has moved to Burwood Hospital, where she starts a new chapter in her recovery journey - rehabilitation.

    I am so incredibly proud of my sister, she is the strongest, bravest, most resilient person that I know ❤️

    There have been so many battles she has had to overcome and her ongoing strength and courage is admirable.

    It's so heart-warming knowing the impact Nikita has had in so many people's lives. She has so many people in her corner, cheering her on and reminding her often how awesome and loved she is. We've got your back, Nikita.

    I am so proud of you.

    A massive thank you for all for the support, prayers, well wishes and generosity. You have helped our family more than we could have ever imagined and we can't thank you enough ❤️

  • No more traction or ventilator!

    Nikita had her traction taken off, yay for no more metal/halo! She is now breathing completely on her own and had her trachy removed this morning!

    We've been told she will be moving to the spinal rehabilitation clinic early next week - woohoo! The Christchurch ICU team have been incredible but after 32 days so far, she is sooo ready to move on to the next stage of her recovery journey.

    Again, a HUGE thank you to everyone for the ongoing support, love, prayers, well wishes and generosity. Our family is completely blown away and will never be able to thank you all enough ❤️

  • Small steps in the right direction

    Nikita's breathing is slowly but surely getting better! Each day she gets a little bit stronger and is able to initiate the breathing for longer periods on her own ❤️

    Thank you SO much to everyone for the ongoing support, love, prayers, well wishes and generosity. Our family is completely blown away and will never be able to thank you all enough ❤️
