Local football talent on his way to Chile

Terran Philippi, a 15 year old football talent from Lower Hutt, New Zealand, has already had some impressive success in his budding football career.

Having played for several years in the first teams in his age groups for local LHCAFC football club, where he picked up numerous awards for most improved and most valuable player, he has achieved his next milestone by being picked up earlier this year to play in the prestigious Wellington Phoenix Youth Development squad with other talented players from all over New Zealand.

Terran thoroughly impresses his coaches during the intense routine of four weekly training sessions with games on Sundays; he recently scored his first hat trick: 3 goals in one game for arguably the best football team for his age group in New Zealand.

Terran's talent and tenacious work ethos has not gone unnoticed in the region. He has been invited to join a Hutt Valley Selection Squad in October 2019 on a trip to Concepcion and Santiago de Chile for 2 weeks of exhibition matches against locals teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for Terran to experience the flair of international competition and to further improve his skills.

While in Chile, Terran and his team will visit local sport clubs and schools to donate new and quality second hand sports equipment to underprivileged youth in Concepcion and Santiago de Chile.

It truly promises to be a trip of a life time for Terran!
