Look after our own.
International
Today we lost our Navy brother Allan Halvorson, Allan is survived by his wonderful wife Wendy and fantastic children Jemma and Sam. Covid stops us joining together to celebrate Allan's life and grieve his passing. We want to ensure Wendy is looked after and doesn't have to worry about money as she takes time to grieve and hold her family close. We look after our own, and Wendy is one of us.
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
Best Friend and Navy mate.
What ever Wendy needs to take care of with Allan's passing.
Update: Looking After The Family of a Fallen Brother 27 October 2021
Hey Everyone,
On behalf of Wendy, Jemma and Sam please accept a heartfelt thanks for your amazing generosity. In 4 weeks a total of $4203.00 was donated, this amount less the standard Givealittle admin fee will be given to Wendy in the next day or so, I know this will be a huge help as Wendy, Jemma and Sam move forward. For those of you that can make it to the BlackPrince 1981 January get-together in Palmy North - COVID permitting, I'm looking forward to sharing some memories of Allan and our other brothers that are no longer with us, until then take care of yourselves,
Yours Aye,
Lance
