Louie's vet bills

    We have Louie at home now and he is much happier about that, he was having 2 trips per day to the vets to get his bladder expessed but I am happy to say that he is regaining sensation in that area and is doing small pees often now and hasn't had to go to the vet since Saturday night which is awesome. While we were at the vet on Saturday we discovered that he had an abscess consisting of fatty tissue as a result of the accident trauma which may have to be surgically removed but at the moment it's wait and see. His tail is still warm and not bothering him too much at the moment..feeling has come back to the top 3rd (near the legs) so hoping the rest will come back and he dosent have to have that removed.

    That's about it for now.. Louie's says thank you so much for helping to get him to this point, he's feeling a bit better now. Thanks everyone

  • The week so far...

    First and foremost many blessings to all of you that have supported us to help Louie come home, we are truly grateful ♥

    We took Louie to see a specialist and for now he won't be having surgery..the fracture has caused the nerves that tell him when to pee to malfunction so this is our main concern at the moment.

    He has been spending the daytime at the vets so he can have his pain and anti-inflammatory medication and have his bladder manually emptied twice a day and we have been bringing him home in the evenings and he is so happy to be at home and is very hesitant to get back in it in the morning but it is a habit he will have to get used to until the nerves mend enough for the signal to get through, hopefully sooner rather than later. On a more positive note he had a poo this morning which he hasn't had since the accident which gives me hope for a full recovery.

    We will have more invoices/receipts after this weekend which I will post up so you can see what your generosity has done to help Louie.
