Support the Muriwai whānau - who no longer have a home as a result of Cyclone Gabrielle
Muriwai, Auckland
On the 13th of February 2023, Cyclone Gabrielle brought total devastation to Muriwai Beach, New Zealand. 4 large landslides wrenched the community apart. One landslide directly surrounding Germaine, Bryn and their two children's beautiful family home.
It is likely they will never get to return home. The risk is just too great, with the reality that homes on either side fell away/disappeared under the rubble and two local firefighters lost their lives. Their house is inevitably red stickered.
The family have been moving from rental to rental since then, celebrating the birth of their daughter but wishing it was under easier circumstances. They are no closer to claiming insurance or gaining clarity of the situation (now three months on).
This fundraising is essential for the family to manage through the next six months with a new born, mortgage, rent, and living costs as well as setting up a new home. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so much ♥️
The money will be spent on setting up their temporary accomodation and help with general costs.

Kia Ora,
Thanks for all those who have generously donated. The situation in Muriwai continues to be a real challenge for Germaine, Bryn and their children - who are currently looking for another rental, with one falling though at last minute. Giving a little /or sharing not only helps them financially but reminds them that we are all thinking of them.
