Lt Col Rennie's RIP badges and ribbons

$4,675 of $1,330 goal
Given by 39 generous donors in around 4 months

Paying for the purchase and framing of Col Frank Rennie's badges.

Auckland

We found out that Col Frank Rennie's badges were for sale on Trade Me.

The backstory

In the early 1970s Col Frank Rennie gifted this set of badges to a friend of his who was a collector of military memorabilia.

They stayed with that collector until his death in the mid to late 80s when another collector obtained them.

In May this year they appeared on Trade Me for sale.

We have had the badges verified by two independent collectors that had seen the badges before in the 80s.

One of the collectors knew Col Rennie and had previously also taken the badges to the Colonel for verification.

Our NZSAS Association committee decided we should buy these badges and present them to The Unit.

We have successfully bought the badges.

We are happy to have paid for them and we are now asking if others would like to be party to the purchase through this page.

Contributors will be acknowledged by way of notation within the framed badges when they are presented to The Unit
