World Race Walk Team Champs Brazil

I have been selected to race over the half marathon distance at the 2026 World Race Walking Team Championships on April 12th 2026 in Brasilia, Brazil. The trip is fully self funded and around $6500 so looking for some assistance to help me cover some of the costs, this is my first time representing New Zealand on the global stage outside of area Championships.

About me, I started race walking at the age of 13 years old and have been at it ever since (currently aged 21). Have worked to balance my training while pursuing my Civil Engineering studies to try and get the most out of both. Am also known for helping athletics all throughout New Zealand from Officating as a technical offical at National level events to running a media page (NZ Predict: https://www.instagram.com/nzpredict/?hl=en) to showcase our top domestic performers.

I currently have a personal best of 1:42:31 for the walk marathon distance walk and am wanting to improve on that with more races over the half marathon distance. With NZ being a small country it does not allow for many opportunities to race over the longer walks distances so I will get a large amount out of competing on the global scene and racing experience.

My main goal in athletics to promote the sport and get as many people excited for it as possible whether that's any of the areas of the sport and show they can still compete and love the sport through what ever else they do.
