A Second Ear for Lucy

    Thanks everyone for the support you've shown to Lucy - she has been able to raise enough money to pay for her second ear and is now happily using it day to day. We will close up her Give A Little page now, as she has reached her goal. Please continue to support 'little battlers' like Lucy - fund-raising is a burden on families and takes energy which would be better spent supporting their children who have enough struggles as it is. There are a few other families fundraising for Cochlear implants who would appreciate any help you can give. Thanks again for your help and support. Kind Regards, Peter & Kate

  • Wow - the halfway point approaches after only 10 days!

    Thanks so much to everyone for your support for Lucy. We've been blown away that, after a little over 10 days, we are almost halfway to Lucy's fundraising goal. Support has come in lots of different ways - phone calls, email, money through Give a Little and other sources, plus some people are planning their own fundraising initiatives on Lucy's behalf. I asked Lucy what she is looking forward to most in the holidays (thinking she'd say Christmas) and she said going to hospital! And now that is in reach. Thanks also to Telecom and their customers for giving a lot through Give A Little - you may not get to meet Lucy but your contributions will have been a gift to her which she will appreciate each day.
