HELP Lucy fight Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer!!!!
Auckland
My bestfriend Lucy was diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. She’s been in and out of hospital the last two months and it’s been real hard for Lucy and the family. When I first took Lucy to the hospital she had a swollen leg due to fluids building up in her body. So she stayed in hospital for weeks due to having too much fluids which were building up in her stomach and chest which added so much weight to her body she couldn’t walk. Seeing my bestfriend in that state was hard for me but I had to stay strong for her. So they did all sorts of examinations on her and they found out the shocking news, she had a cysts growing on both ovaries. So she needed to have an operation to get them removed.
I was shocked because I’d never expect anything like this to happen to my besfriend. So they did have to drain out all her fluids but we were then told by doctors that no matter how much fluids they drain out it’ll keep building up unless they do he operation. We were told that the op would be high risk for Lucy.
On the day of the surgery it was emotional for all of us, her family and friends. Even though doctors told us how much of a risk this operation was we then stayed courageous and strong for Lucy. We all prayed that it’ll be a successful operation. Hours were going by and the nerves were just killing me. We had so much faith in her, we knew she would fight this through and she did, her op was a success!!!
A few weeks later she has been told she’s been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and it was definitely hard for everyone. I was in tears. I’ve been told she is doing intense chemo. Due to not being able to do blood transfusions because of religious reasons she wouldn’t be able to keep her bloods up and itll be a lot more risky for her. I just want to help the family out and give them hope for Lucy. Please donate whatever you can for my best friend Lucy!! Honestly nobody should ever have to go through this, stuff you cancer!!!
Love you all thank you!!! xo
