Little drops make a mighty ocean. Help Maa Durga Temple Auckland continue serving our community for generations to come.

Little drops of water make a mighty ocean... "बूंद-बूंद से सागर बनता है"
Maa Durga Temple Auckland was established in 2012 at 4/3 Onslow Ave, Papatoetoe, with a vision of serving the community and promoting our religion. Since the beginning, we have never set fixed charges for Seva, Pooja, Hawan, Chowki, or other Dharmic services (Main Motive). Everything is offered according to the devotion, willingness, and capacity of each devotee.
The temple has grown from one leased warehouse unit to three. In April 2025, we expanded our facilities by acquiring a third unit to relocate our Langar Hall and enlarge the Darbar, allowing us to better serve the community.
This expansion required major renovations, including toilets, kitchen facilities, and other essential improvements. While these upgrades have helped us better serve the community, they have also left the temple with debt and ongoing completion costs.
We are a non-profit organisation operating from leased premises. The only paid member is the temple priest; everyone else contributes their time and effort as volunteers.
Every Saturday evening, we offer free vegetarian Indian food (Langar) to all. Inspired by the spirit of Sita Rasoi, where no one in need is ever turned away hungry.
We believe that faith, compassion, and service bring people together. While our temple is dedicated to Maa Durga, we respect all faiths and cultures. We are all one human family.
We humbly invite you to offer your Daswandh and support the temple
