    Maddison is now in remission!

Her hair is growing back, her hair is now curly, previously it was straight!

Maddison has now started back at school, and our Central Regional health school teacher is now not needed. Maddison's receiving her immunizations every 4 weeks,as chemo treatment requires re immunization.

Maddison sees her Palmerston North specialist monthly, and her Starship one every 4 month's now.

To celebrate Maddison's remission, she wishes to go to Rainbow's End,with her siblings,as her "treat trip " once all her immunizations are completed. Due to finish her immunizations schedule at the end of November 2018.

Due to Maddison's frequent medical appointments, her mum is only able to return to work part time.

We would love for everyone to donate one more time,to get Maddison's wish granted. Maddison's proved she is a fighter, and a survivor, such strength through a time of suffering surely deserves rewarding.

Maddison had a PET scan last Tuesday.Unfortunately, the PET scan results showed that Maddi has another cancerous tumor. Maddi's specialist has emailed these results to another specialist in Germany, for guidance. It's likely that the treatment options will be a combination of further chemo, surgery and radiotherapy. We start round 3 of chemo on Monday,in Auckland. We are trying 2 new chemo drug's this time around. We are hopeful that these new drug's will kick this cancer to the kerb, right where it belongs!

Maddison started to suffer hair loss on October the 22nd. By the 29th,it had been completely shaved off,as patches of hair falling out had made her bald in patches. Maddison has handled this well. We are currently at Starship for cycle 2 of chemo. Cycle 3 has been scheduled now, cycle 3 is due to finish December the 20th. Fingers crossed for being home for Christmas. Thank you to those who have already donated, and those who will. Every little bit will help :)

Hi all. Well its been a few rough weeks really. Maddison is a little trooper though. Shes had many chemotherapy treatments now. They leave her very tired. Shes about to graduate to a double bed in the next week, for more comfort, and if need be now someone can lay next to her when she needs company the most. She has earnt a huge amount of beads of courage. These beads signify a single treatment each. Look at them all! Now enrolled for schooling at home, as she needs 24hr care. Will be attending Starship School when back at Starship, and when she feels up to it. Currently part way through a two week break from Starship. She's getting weekly top up chemo's at her shared care hospital. At such a young 7 years old, she does not complain. But recently there has been tears from her. Her hair has started to fall out. This is a big adjustment for all, but of course especially for her. We are hoping she can find fun in some upcoming strange hair styles. I'd like to thank everyone for the donations, you truly dont know how much this will help Maddison. For now, they are focusing on keeping her comfortable and getting a smile on her face. Thankyou xxx
