We would like to extend the last date to 31/10/18 for donations for our cause to give our community and other people a bit longer to donate for the cause.
Every little donation will help a kid's eduaction which will make a bigger impact on the community in long run.
Kodagu district of Karnataka, India suffered heavy rains and flooding. This destroyed over 10 000 houses, putting over 5000 people in relief camps and dozens of death. Along with the severe loss of life, people lost their incomes, savings and entire livelihoods. Out of 12 major roads, ten roads were completely wrecked, which cut off major routes to others cities.
Some villages were utterly wiped off the map. Migrant workers who are employed in the area are at the risk of being sent back as many of the farmlands have been destroyed causing many family incomes to be at risk.
This natural phenomenon has caused deep distress to the people of Kodagu, and there are in desperate need of help.
This fundraising will be used to aid the families who are in improvised conditions, by supporting their children to go to school and have a healthy life, because disasters like this can leave the family with a big void filled with blindness. In this situation, kids go through trauma, and there is a high chance to not continue with their education, as the parent has no money to send them to school or buy uniforms and school books.

Dear supporters,
We have decided to support the families in a different form not just the usual give the money to a bigger group. Also Madikeri falls under Karanataka state and so sending to Kerala Chief minister funds would mean it does not reach the people we want to help. We will be sending the funds to In-need foundation who will provide us with details how the funds were used. The funds will primarily be used for scholarships for kids whose families are affected from floods and help these children get education.
