IF NOTHING GOES WRONG, EVERYTHING HAS GONE WRONG. MONGOL RALLY 2018

Neither of our lives are ever going to be the same again.

We are Corey and Emma. A young passionate couple on a mission to save New Zealand. Three years ago we lost a dear friend to suicide, two years later another. It's time to stop. It's time a change was made. We decided that we would take on the most extreme adventure we could find and put our relationship, ourselves and our minds to the biggest challenge we could.

Welcome; to the one and only: The Mongol Rally.

We are going to be thundering through 20,000km of some of the most rugged terrain in the world. From futuristic cities, multiple lane autobahns, and lattes to being in the middle of the desert, on a silk road unchanged since the Genghis Khan era . NO SIGNS, NO SIGNAL. WHERE ARE WE GOING?

Seems insane right? Why not challenge ourselves even further - lets do it in a scrap yard hunk of junk $300NZD car with a 1000cc Motor.

But why? why, why, why?

We're thinking being on the edge of wanting to leave life has to be the most challenging thing to face in the world. We want to show New Zealand that even though sometimes we get slam dunked with the worst of challenges and situations that seem impossible to fix, WE CAN. This trip is about stepping outside of our comfort zones, hoping that everything that can go wrong, DOES. That we learn new skills and learn to overcome all the challenges that we are faced with. Life is a rollercoaster and it's time we all learn to embrace it and learn for it.

We've decided to start with change in our home town, Magical Mangawhai. A small community, growing bigger and bigger by the day. We are inspired to give Mangawhai a community activity zone where people of any age can be apart of. This is where MAZ comes in, (The Mangawhai Activity Zone). The funds raised from this journey are going to go to our local fundraising organisation, MAZ. The funds will go towards park facilities, such as an outdoor soundshell and an upgrade of the Skate Park to get it to an Olypmic Level. Tokyo is holding the very first skate olypmics in 2020, and we want to inspire New Zealand Skaters to become some of the worlds best Athletes.

We strongly believe outdoor activity and goals/dreams are the most important components to a happy, mental state of mind.
