  • Another significant step forward

Yesterday, Archana was hoisted unto a wheelchair for the very first time. Its a significant step forward in her healing. Kids are doing OK but require physio. Nanna is still doing rehabilitation at North Shore hospital and she might not get to go back to her home where she lived for over 20 years but rather go into care. Meanwhile, Archana will remain in hospital for another 4-6 weeks until her bones has healed and she is rehabilitated. Every little moment is a step forward. Thank you all for your generosity and continuous support as this will help especially when she returns home. Thanks

  • Progressing a step at a time

      25 February 2019

Surgeries are done for now and on road to recovery. Bones have been mended with steel and screws but movement is very restricted. Skin grafting (plastic surgery) done to right arm and awaiting to see how successful it is before she can be shifted to the hospital close to home where she can be reunited to family more regularly. She is still expected to be in the hospital for at least another 6 weeks before she is able to come home but still be confined to a wheelchair until rehab is completed. Long road ahead but she is getting there. It is a huge undertaking for her and its draining her, physically, financially, mentally and emotionally. It certainly have a huge impact on family and working around the clock to visit her and maintaining the welfare of the kids. Meanwhile, I had to give notice to her landlord and put her belongings to a storage so that, she can at least have some ease of financial commitments. I do have some images but it will be unbearable for many hence not loading it. This is a big deal especially for a female, as you can understand. Thank you for your continued support.
