Stephen from Dunedin dreams of seeing an NBA game live!

Stephen from Dunedin is a well known and liked character of Otago. He is a huge sports fan and spends most of his free time volunteering at The Edgar Centre, coaching kids.

Recently, just before his 48th birthday, he has moved into his own flat, independently. He spends his time listening to the radio, watching sports on TV and coaching at The Edgar Centre.

At his church, he recently revealed something on his bucket list that he could never achieve on his own. His dream is to go to LA and see an NBA game live! He would also like to go to Disneyland. He is unable to look after himself on such a big trip so I will take him at my own expense. (Jay-Jay)

Please help make Stephen's dream come true for his 50th birthday in 2024. He does a lot for the community and deserves to have the trip of a lifetime.

Use of funds

Money raised will go toward flights for Stephen and his friend to LA, accommodation, tickets to an NBA game and tickets to Disneyland. Funds are being paid to Stephen's sister Sharyn Phillips.

Stephen's 50th birthday is less than one month away! He is very excited!

He has been a bit stressed this week due the flooding in Dunedin, with his street being one of the worst-hit. He even made the Otago Daily News with his criticism of the Prime Minister for not showing up!

Anyway, we hope to be able to confirm a few details about his dream trip at his party.

NBA tickets, Disneyland passes, flights and accommodation are more expensive than we first thought. Can you help Stephen get to 15k by his birthday?
