Mykal has severe cerebral palsy, a larger than life outlook and a dream to visit Legoland in Florida.
Bay of Plenty
Miracle Mykal was born with spastic dystonic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, in short he is confined to a wheelchair for life and can't do anything for himself. ....Can you imagine not being able to scratch your own nose? This is the reality that Mykal lives with everyday, relying on others in every aspect of his life.
Based in Papamoa, Tauranga - Mykal is like any ordinary 13 year old. He loves Lego, loves Star Wars and loves his Mum. But sadly he has missed out on many things in life, and will continue to do so. However miraculously Mykal brings joy to everyone around him!
His passion for Lego has seen him dream about visiting Legoland, and seeing all his creations come to life. So lets not let him miss out on one more thing....Lets give him the trip of a lifetime and actually send him overseas to Legoland in Florida (USA).
Donations will be used to take Mykal and the two support workers needed for his care, to Florida for a week. Costs include airfares, accommodation, transfers, food etc. Any additional money raised above our goal will be used to help Mykal travel in comfort, e.g. business class.
This is such a small sacrifice for a few of us to make someone else's dream come true! And quite literally change their life. #skiptodayscoffee
Thanks so much for your support
I have had the privilege of getting to know Mykal over the past year as one of his support workers, and what an incredible kid he is! Mykal's perspective on life has changed my view on those little things we take for granted.
Lots of individuals and businesses have help make my dream come true, becoming the NZ Rally Champion..... now I'd love to help make Mykal's dream come true.
3 days to go! 15 June 2017
That's right....Mykal is leaving in 3 days for his dream adventure!
We can't thank everyone enough for their incredible generosity towards his bucket list trip.
To say he's excited would be a huge huge HUGE understatement!
To follow his journey overseas jump online and head to www.holderbrothersracing.com and check out what he's been up to day by day at Legoland
Again we can't thank everyone, including a number of businesses for being so generous towards the cause!
P.s - Here's a pic of Mykal with the NZ Black Caps Test Cricket top that Dean Brownlie donated to help raise some money!
