Helping Carl and his family make more memories together for Thomas and end of life.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Carl has been diagnosed with Peritoneal Disease, secondary to his recovered bowel cancer where cells from this escaped into his blood stream, and got into the liver, escaping into his diaphragm. They have deemed him inoperable and he is starting his journey down palliative care.
His prognosis is 6 months to 1 year without treatment, or 1-2 years with treatment. We have little options available due to where the cancer is. Carl wants to prolong quality of life to enjoy the time he has left with his family.
Carl has a young nearly 1 year old son called Thomas. His wish is to be able to treasure more moments together and make more memories as a family for Thomas to look back on. Him and his partner Laura are finally getting married after 8 years together, Carl popped the question on the weekend after his diagnosis.
Though the prognosis is not good, we would like to make the best of the time available together.
Any donations will be used to help facilitate these wishes, making memories and any remaining will go to Thomas and helping Laura in the months after Carls passing.
I am Carls partner, soon to be wife and mother of his son Thomas.
Family trips, activities, petrol, accommodations, making treasured memories, and other financial assistance to help them during this difficult time.
