Making memories with mum
Southland
On the 12th of December 2019 mum went into Southland hospital coughing up blood which was very scary for her.
She had a xray showing she had a 10cm in diameter mass on the top of her left lung which was also in the lymphnods at the top of her chest which also is wrapped around her windpipe.
Mum got rushed to Dunedin where she underwent a 6 week treatment packed into 5 days to stop the bleeding, that is when we were told her cancer is incurable and that she had 1-2 years after observation.
Mum came home to invercargill to undergo chemotherapy, she had 2 weeks of treatment and on her off week of chemo she went downhill with her breathing fast.
Mum is now on full time oxygen and has now been given 5weeks to 5months but they dont think she will last that long.
My 2 brothers and sister want to make as many memories as we can with our beautiful mum while she is with us.
Our mum has had a hard life with so many loses that we just want to try and make things as easy as we can for her and create beautiful memories with her.
I am the daughter of sue who has stage 3b lung cancer
