To raise funds to help this family make memories with Zavier to last them a lifetime.
Southland
Last year when Zavier was 10 years old her and her family went on a journey after Zavier was diagnosed with a brain tumour. This involved the family leaving their home in Invercargill and relocating to Christchurch for 8 months while Zavier underwent surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. Also during this time Zavier's mother discovered that Zavier was getting a sibling and so at the end of last year when the family returned home they had an additional child and Zavier was in remission.
Unfortunately in August this year the family got the devastating news that the cancer has returned in Zavier's brain and this time the doctors have told the family that there is no more that can be done to treat it and that now they are to go and make memories with Zavier.
Any funds raised are going to be used to ensure that the family can continue to make memories with Zavier that will last them a lifetime and to help with any associated costs that will be incurred in the future.
I am Zavier's Aunt and Val's sister and I want to do something to try and help my sister and her family at this difficult time.
For making memories and any associated costs that will be incurred in the future.
Where Zavier is at now. 3 December 2018
Zavier has been really fortunate to go on her Make a Wish to Auckland two weeks ago but it is with a heavy heart that I need to inform you all that Zavier's health has taken a drastic turn for the worse. On Sunday at lunchtime Zavier and her family were due to fly to Rotorua so Zavier could stand on her Marae for the first time. On Sunday morning Zavier woke up tired and so Val told her to go back to sleep. When Zavier woke the second time she was displaying some symptoms that concerned Val and Dion and so they took her down to the hospital. The pediatrician explained these were due to the progression of her cancer, The pediatrician also informed Val and Dion that due to this development Zavier has less time with us now than we had anticipated. This afternoon Zavier was transferred to the Hospice where she is now resting peacefully and appears comfortable at this stage. Thank you to all of you who have called in and for all of the aroha and support. It is great appreciated.
