Fundraising for Mountain Bike Trails in Dargaville

Dargaville, Northland

The West Coast of Northland is lacking places to Mountain Bike.

The Kauri Coast Mountain Bike park is for families, individuals, beginners and experts.

This 440 hectare pine forest with sandstone base will be an all year round, public place to ride.

The plan is to build over 40kms of trails. The local community, businesses and individuals are busy fundraising.

Volunteers are out trimming the trees on the trails every Tuesday evening to help keep costs down.

But we need your help to fund this project.

The overall cost is $680,000.

We have contracted Northlands best trail builder Ryan Lovett to design and build the park.

If we can raise $100,000 then we should have enough trails to start riding and create more interest.

Use of funds

The funds are going towards contracting a professional mountain bike trail builder and designer.
