  • Rest in Peace and Love Mal

      15 July 2025

My darling Mal, lost his fight and passed peacefully 10th July. It’s a very sad time for my family and friends and for anyone who knew Mal. A heartfelt thanks for everyone’s generosity, the money you raised helped us get though a very though time.

For those that can make it, we are having a memorial celebration of Mal’s life. 11am Sunday 27th July at the HBC Raiders, 161 Brightside Road Stanmore Bay, we have a memorial celebration of Mal’s life. Please bring a plate of kai to share. The club will have the bar open for those that want to raise a glass to Malcolm.

    Thanks again, from Wendy💚💙💛

I hope every one is fine.

I have made a conscious decision, with the backing of my oncologist not to continue my chemotherapy.

The decision is to have palliative care at home. This allows me to have a better quality of life rather than quantity. The last two treatments have not been great, leading to this decision.

You will see in the photo what it’s done to my body.

I’m certainly at peace with my decision, which involves a Māori, Buddhist and Rastafarian element.

I don’t want anyone to be sad. Be kind, be nice, be all you can be One Love, positive vibrations

    🖤❤️💛💚

Thanks for your support so far, it’s been incredibly humbling to received your donations. With both of us not working, it’s very much appreciated.

We are also grateful to those of you who have shared a link to this page. We are feeling the aroha from near and far.

An update on Mal. He started chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment last week. It’s really knocking him around, but he’s putting up a really good fight.

Arohanui from Mal and Wendy xxx
