Mana Tipua needs a 10-12 seater van to transport our rangatahi to support their taha Māori, community connection and overall hauora.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Mana Tipua is a non-profit that supports youth 12-25yrs who are in the Takatāpui/Māori LGBTQIA+ communities. Through Te Ao Māori we connect rangatahi with their taha Māori, local communities and uplift the mana and hauora of our people. (Check out our Instagram to see what we do)
Why do we need a Givealittle? Our Mana Tipua Whānau is growing, which means our transportation needs are also growing greater. We offer free transport for rangatahi to some of our kaupapa to reduce barriers to attending. Weekly we travel between Lincoln and Kaiapoi in the Waitaha area to support our members engaging in activities that benefit and increase their connection to Te Ao Māori. This is becoming more difficult as the groups grows as we have been using our personal vehicles to support this kaupapa - but we would love your support to change this!
We are asking for donations to support our non-profit org acquiring a 10-12 seater van. Most of the vans we see as safe and appropriate for our rōpū are around the $30k mark. We have some funding that can support some of this cost, however we need to make up the shortfall. That’s where you come in!
We are asking for $15k of donations to support this need for our rōpū, so we can continue to support the needs of our growing Mana Tipua Whānau.

Ngā mihi ki a koe 😊
Mauri ora!
We require any donations up to $15k to go towards buying a 10-12 seater Van to transport our rangatahi. Anything over will be spent on Van up-keep and rangatahi transportation.
