GiveaLittle Page to help flood-devastated Canterbury farmers and their animals Funds will go directly to providing feed and seed for pasture
Canterbury
When Christchurch needed it most after the devastating earthquakes Canterbury farmers brought much needed water supplies to cut-off suburbs, heavy machinery to help with removing liquefaction and even their BBQs and fresh food to bolster the spirits of struggling families.
It’s our turn now to help our rural neighbours. The heavy flooding this week has literally stripped the winter feed from farmers' land, leaving them nothing for livestock to survive through winter. Food and grain are available but at a significant cost.
So how about we all chip in a few dollars to support in securing emergency feedstock and seed for our farmers?
Just a small koha from all of us will go a long way to help our farmers, save animals and raise the spirits of our rural communities. Please pledge your support here.
This page was created by farmer and local National MP for Selwyn Nicola Grigg and Dale Stephens, long term Christchurch resident.
The fund will be independently administered by Mid Canterbury Rural Support Trust support network and will be used for providing feed and seed.
