Mangawhai Estuary Track
Community-based project to complete a 2.5m wide cycle/walkway from the Molesworth Road bridge through to Cove Road.

The public track will incorporate a kayak jetty and will provide lovely scenery of the Mangawhai Estuary, Manuka forest and wetlands as well as providing a loop cycle/walkway that can link with other tracks around the Mangawhai area.

I'm involved because I am the voluntary secretary and treasurer of the Mangawhai Recreational Charitable Trust set up to pursue this project.
About us
The Mangawhai Recreational Charitable Trust was formed to create the Mangawhai Estuary Track to provide access to a beautiful area previously inaccessible by clearing overgrown scrub and build a track suitable for cycling and walking. The track runs from the Molesworth Road bridge through to Cove Road.
Use of funds
Funds raised will be used to secure materials to build the track, jetty and boardwalks, for planting programmes and general maintenance.
