Mangawhai weather station funding

$3,500 of $3,500 goal

To help Tony upgrade his gear and continue supplying this valuable service to the community.

Northland

Tony has been running the station with his own time and funds for quite sometime now, unfortunately all of his equipment is due for an upgrade, which means without financial help, he will need to close down this valuable resource.

Below his a block from his page:

Mangawhai Heads Weather is free for everyone to use, this means that the expense of running mangawhaiweather.co.nz, including equipment costs (PC, weather station, router, webcam), maintenance, utilities, domain registration, website hosting services, and the high speed internet connection, comes entirely out of my pocket. Operating the weather station is a hobby and I enjoy doing it; maintaining the web site and making it available to the general public on the Internet is something extra I do because I see a need for it. If you would like to help, you can do so by making a monetary contribution to help defray some of these expenses; any amount, no matter how small, is helpful and greatly appreciated. Rest assured that any contribution you make will only be used in the support of mangawhaiweather.co.nz.
