You can help us map our sensitive environments to find out where mining permitting and exploration is occurring.
Wellington
You can help us with a project to map our sensitive environments . At the moment we have no ready means to easily identify what conservation lands and waters might be at risk by being mined.
We need to buy a special computer programme to map where the mining and permitting is happening, to bring together data held in different formats, as well as funds to engage an expert to implement this project over 2017. We have already started this groundbreaking and vital work but your support is needed to help us complete it.
This is a unique attempt to illustrate the risks to some of our most precious landscapes and species. This work is important and we need your help to make this happen. The maps generated will be used to hold the mining industry to account. We need to raise at least $10,000 as the public's contribution.
