Celebrate Margaret's love of the Wakatipu by donating to the Lakes District Museum archive.
Queenstown, Otago
This year, Margaret Snoeck (nee Allan) will be celebrating her 90th birthday with a living wake: a joyful celebration of her life via a memorable event filled with laughter, love, and lasting contributions. In this light, instead of gifts for Margaret (who has everything she needs), let's make a meaningful difference!
How about donating to a cause very close to her heart that encompasses family, belonging, and lineage - geneology.
Your donations will go to the Archives of the Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown to help preserve important records, images and history of those who made their home, established their families, and lived their lives in the Wakatipu Basin: from the wild matagouri and flax landscapes, through the thrilling gold rush and farming eras, to today's vibrant tourism and adventure scene.
In this way, you'll not only be celebrating the importance of family and the trail blazing ancestors who forged their lives in New Zealand: rugged, hardy, pioneering settlers and gold miners in Central Otago, especially in the Arrowtown district, you’ll be investing in history, preserving crucial links to the past, and leaving a tangible legacy that shows how much you care – a long-lasting and truly special gift.
These amazing intrepid folk include Gilbert and Helen Mackie, John and Jessie Allan, and John and Virginia McPherson and their descendants.
Thank you! Margaret Snoeck
