Help Marina get a Personal Trainer

  • Update for 10/02/2014

      10 February 2014

Thank you for all that have started donating, it really means a lot to me. A little bit more about me: I was born with a hiatus hernia and at day 10 I was rushed into surgery to have the hernia repaired. 8 years later and after having been put on high amounts of medication again I had another repair on my diaphragm. Complications arose from that surgery and required more surgery, this time on my bowels. I had gone from being a bright and bubbly little girl to a very with-drawn and sad one, since then I have been battling depression and anxiety. In the past two years I have lost 20kg on my own, the last 10 with help from a Nutritionist from Well Being North Canterbury. I hope that I can continue this journey and help others in the process.

  • What have I been doing on my own?

      10 February 2014

I just want to show everyone how committed I am to what I am doing. Over the last 2 weeks I have completed on average 8km walk a day. Sunday I walked the Glentui Track with my wonderful husband and 6 year old son. Today I walked 9.2km and I am preparing for the Kaiapoi-Rangiora fun run (although I won't be running). I will be doing this with my sister and nephew.
