Help us finish the Marist Centre Ranong

  • Marist Centre is Complete - Thanks for Your Support

      22 June 2013

A special THANK YOU to every donor who has contributed toward the final amount of $20,000 to complete the Marist Centre. The electricity and painting is completed and the fences are almost done in time to ensure the playground does not run away down the street during the rainy season. Each of you has helped us welcome 75 pre-school children and 150 school children along with many people and families needing medical care for HIV Aids and supportive educational programmes for Migrant Workers. We would like to acknowledge you as a friend and a supporter and would like to invite you to share your postal address with us so we may send a newsletter and a thank you photo card from our children. Tomorrow marks World Day of Prayer for Migrants and Refugees. Please continue to keep Marist Mission Ranong and the Migrants and Refugees we serve in your prayer and support. Continue to hear the progress of your work and support at www.facebook.com/maristmissionranong and www.maristthailand.org. While the 'complete the Marist Centre' cause concludes shortly, the main donation site www.givealittle.org.nz/org/maristmissionranong remains always open to safely and securely receive your donation. With thanks again from the whole Marist Mission Ranong Team and Burmese Community. Fr Frank Bird sm. francisbird@gmail.com

  • Thanks! Electricity is now being connected

      21 April 2013

Thanks to everyone for their generosity. We have reached the target for connecting electricity. The team of workers have arrived and have begun to connect the electricity. Next target is funds to help build the fences ($8,000) and paint the classrooms ($5,000). $100 builds 10 metres of fence and $500 paints a classroom. We hope we can welcome the children back to school in 45 days with everything complete. Please feel encouraged to share our little project with anyone who may be able to support. Cheers and prayers and thanks for your support.

      30 March 2013

Thanks to all those who have contributed to completing the Marist Centre in Ranong. We are very grateful for your support and would encourage you if you are able to share this special project with family and friends. Our big target of $20,000 will aim at connecting electricity ($8,200), building fences ($7,7000) and painting classrooms ($4,100). Thanks for being a friend to Marist Mission Ranong. We're just over $500. Every donation helps our Burmese Migrant families and their children.
